Nexium Control® is used for the short-term relief of frequent heartburn, acid regurgitation (an acid-related medical condition that causes regurgitation), and the treatment of acid-related medical conditions such as GERD. These medical conditions may occur at any time, but are more common with esomeprazole. Nexium Control® is to be taken once a day, and is well known as a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It is typically taken orally, with or without food, once or twice daily. This medicine works by blocking the release of stomach acid into the esophagus. This process helps to reduce the amount of acid that is passed from the esophagus into the stomach.
Directions: The usual dose is one tablet a day, taken on an empty stomach or after a light meal. The medicine should be swallowed whole and without>: Take this medicine with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew this medicine. It can be taken with or without food. The duration of treatment should be 6 to 12 hours. This medicine can be taken with or without food.
